Vending Machine Business
What's expected of you to receive this “easy money”? Quite a bit, actually. You will most likely be responsible for maintaining the equipment and refilling the machines. You will also be responsible for collecting the cash which is what most programs emphasize. This is the fun part, of course. Remember that you must keep accurate records and you'll be responsible for paying any taxes. With some vending machine businesses you'll have to give the location owner a portion of the proceeds.
If you do decide to try making money in this industry it's best to start small and limit your investment to money you can afford to lose. Don't spend your last dime on these programs. Also, ask for references. A reputable company offering a vending machine business opportunity will be more than happy to give you references from satisfied customers. Take the time to contact these people and ask their opinion of the program. Keep in mind, though, that the company is likely to only give you names of customers it thinks will give a good review.
The bottom line: this business has the potential to make money but make sure you fully understand what is expected of you. The vending machine business can be lucrative but there are also many scams out there. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and your local Better Business Bureau offer resources to help you make an informed decision.
